An Uber driver is accused of groping a passenger who he drove home, Prince William County police said.
A 24-year-old woman told police that she and an acquaintance used Uber to go from Arlington to Woodbridge in the early morning hours of July 12.
Once at their destination, the woman said the driver got out and groped her.
On Wednesday, police arrested Mengistu Asfaw, 58, and charged him with misdemeanor sexual battery. He is due in court September 9.
A spokesman for Uber said the driver's account was immediately deactivated upon learning of the arrest.
